Policies and
Procedures
An "open
door" policy allows students and teachers to use the media center as needs
occur. The combination of flexible scheduling, fixed scheduling, and open
access provides students and faculty the opportunities to use the center's
resources. Kindergarten students
are allowed to check out 1 book at a time which cannot be taken home.
First grade students
are allowed to check out 2 books at a time and can take them home each night. Students in second through sixth grades may check out
3 books at a time which can be taken home.
|
|
We do not charge a fine for
late books, but no other materials may be checked out until the late book is
returned. Overdue notices will be sent home once a month in the student's
Wednesday folders. Lost or damaged library
books must be paid for before students can check out any more items.
Students who do not
return their library materials on time may have their progress reports or report
cards held until items are returned or paid for. Students who have lost
or damaged books which are not returned or paid for at the end of the school
year will not receive their report card on the last day of school.
Additionally, a transfer within the system or to another system will not be
approved.
